What is current

Imagine Video 1.5 is generally available on the API as grok-imagine-video-1.5, with a fast variant on grok.com and the mobile apps. Those are shipped items with pages you can open. They are better anchors than a rumor thread.

Grok 5 release date is a search without a date on the pricing page or the Video 1.5 post. This guide will not invent one. When xAI has a date, it will be on x.ai/news or in the release notes, and the model name on the pricing page will change with it. Until that line changes, Grok 4.6 is the name to use when you compare plans. Older queries for “Grok 4” still describe the same account and the same apps. You do not reinstall Grok to “get 4.6” if the app is current. You sign in and read the model label in the composer if it is shown.

Modes are not releases
